Create campaign autoresponder or autoresponder
autoresponder campaigns allow the user to automatically send an email when a previously specified event occurs.
The advantage of these campaigns is that they allow you to predefine simple responses at the time you consider most interesting for sending. If you need to create more complex automatic flows, check out the information about our feature of Automations.

Create a campaign autoresponder
The process of creating an autoresponder campaign is very similar to creating a classic campaign. The only difference is that you will find one more step in which you will have to define the trigger (event that starts the automatic sending) and the sending time.
To create your campaign autoresponder, direct the view of Campañas inside of Boletines. Once again, click on the New campaign button and select Auto response.
Step 1: Setup
In step 1 of campaign creation, you must complete the same fields as in a normal newsletter-type campaign:
- Campaign name (for internal use)
- Sender email and name
- Subject and preheader
- Customizing links with your domain
- Google Analytics Settings
Step 2: Lists
In this step you will be able to select the list that will receive your campaign autoresponder.
Please note that you will only be able to select a single subscriber list, without the ability to send to a segment within the list.
Trigger Selection
In step number three you will be able to select the trigger that you want to start your campaign autoresponder and the fixed sending frequency.
The types of triggers you can select are:
When the subscriber opens a campaign
The autoresponder will be automatically sent to subscribers who open a previously sent campaign.
You will be able to select previous campaigns already sent by clicking on the drop-down menu once you select this option.
When the subscriber clicks on any link in a campaign
The autoresponder will be automatically sent to subscribers who click any link within a particular campaign.
When the subscriber clicks on a specific link in a campaign
The autoresponder will be automatically sent to subscribers who click on the selected link in the chosen campaign.
When the subscriber signs up for a list
The autoresponder will be automatically sent to subscribers who sign up for the chosen list.
You can choose whether you want this autoresponder to be sent only to subscribers who sign up after activating the campaign, or whether it is also sent to subscribers who were already on the list.
When a subscriber's date field matches today's date
The autoresponder will be automatically sent to subscribers whose chosen date field matches today. This feature allows emails to be sent on specific dates such as birthdays.
To do this, you must have at least one date type field with your subscriber's date of birth:
Then, in step 3 of creating a campaign autoresponder, select DD/MM if you want it to be sent annually on each day that falls on the date (for example, a birthday) or DD/MM/YY if you want it to be sent only once (for example, when someone reaches a certain age).
In this video we explain how to create a autoresponder birthday greeting campaign step by step:
Time of shipment
Once you have chosen the trigger type, you only need to define when it will be sent. You can choose between these two options:
Fixed form
Select a few days (or a single day) of the week and a time, and that is when the autoresponder will be sent to subscribers who have met the selected condition.
For example, we can send a welcome email to the list only during weekdays, and not on weekends.
When X time passes after the event
A time is selected, and when that time elapses after the event set above, the campaign will be sent.
We can select this option if we want to send something specifically a couple of days after the subscriber opens a certain campaign, or clicks on a certain link, for example.
X time before the event
Finally, you can also send a autoresponder campaign before the event you selected occurs. For example, one day before the subscriber's birthday.
This option will only work for the date trigger.
