Customize the links of your campaigns

Personalizing your links will make your email campaigns more personal and your customers will be more likely to click on your links.

This customization does not affect the deliverability of the campaign nor does it affect the possibility of entering the spam folder. However, what can prevent your campaign from entering the spam folder is verifying the domain of the email you use as the sender in your campaigns.

Why customize the domain of your links

Acumbamail modifies the links that appear in your emails so that all of them pass through our platform. The objective of this is to allow us to track the users who click on the links in your email, giving added value to the statistics of the campaigns and allowing you to know how many people have clicked on the links and which ones they have clicked on more occasions.

Link customization options

This section describes the two options available for customizing the domain of your links.

Link your own subdomain

It is the best option, since you will get users to identify your brand more easily and are more predisposed to click on your links.

First, you will need to create an A record on the subdomain you want to appear in your emails. You will need to do this with the provider where you have registered your domain (1and1, godaddy, dondominio, etc.).

If your domain is company.com and you want to use the newsletter.company.com subdomain in your email links, you will need to create the record as shown in the following table, depending on whether or not you are a Pro or Enterprise user (otherwise, you will only be able to have HTTP links and not HTTPS).

Once the record is created, you can check if it was propagated in step 1 of your campaign by entering the domain and clicking "Verify Domain".

Choose a word to create an Acumbamail subdomain

In case you do not have access to modify the data of your domain, we allow you to choose a word (only letters and without spaces) that your customers quickly relate to your company (the name of this, for example) and with it we will build the links of your campaigns.
